This study provides a comprehensive analysis of the challenges and opportunities in guaranteeing human rights in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). It explores how the principles of supra-constitutionality can reinforce the legal framework, ensuring that human rights violations are effectively sanctioned and victims receive justice. To achieve its findings, the study employs a combination of documentary analysis, case studies, semi-structured interviews, comparative analysis, and both qualitative and quantitative data evaluation. Specific proposals, such as adopting laws to ensure the primacy of international human rights treaties and overseeing judicial decisions, are presented to strengthen the respect for international human rights standards in the DRC. This study addresses gaps and challenges in the implementation of human rights protections while offering actionable recommendations. In essence, the research calls for a renewed and collaborative commitment from national and international actors to create an environment where human rights are upheld and respected across all levels in the DRC.
